Their goal at the Hope, Love & Beauty Project is to produce inspiring films and events that bring hope, healing, dignity and investment to communities in need across the globe.
In Ferguson Rises, filmmaker Mobolaji Olambiwonnu and his team share the story of a small town that suffered a powerful loss and became the flash point for a modern day civil rights movement. “STRAIGHT FROM CUBA – A WOMEN’S PERSPECTIVE” EXHIBIT
Last year’s widely acclaimed “Straight from Cuba” exhibition at the Lois Lambert Gallery showcased three male Cuban artists. Through July 10th, the Gallery will present a follow-up exhibition including the works of six female Cuban artists titled “Straight from Cuba: A Woman’s Perspective.” This group exhibition features work by Alicia de la Campa Pak, Laura Carralero Morales, Belsy Cobiellas Cruz, Lisandra Isabel Garcia, and Adislen Reyes Pino.
Each artist’s work reflects Cuba’s current cultural and political concerns, social dynamics and gender issues. Female artists are challenging the meaning of “feminine”, by exploring the stereotypical attributes so often applied to them.

KAT HUTTER & ROGER LEE: ANOTHER CALIFORNIA DAY
In the mixed-media installation created for the PMCAs Project Room, painter Kat Hutter and ceramicist Roger Lee present a deconstructed and abstracted vision of the quintessential California landscape. Inspired by the rugged, scenic beauty of the state, the unprecedented collaboration is an intersection of the artists independent practices, their photographic explorations of California, and their combined endeavor K&R Ceramics. Kat Hutter and Roger Lee: Another California Day is an uncharted, distinctive combination of media that considers the intersections of natural and created environments, beauty and the work that makes it possible.
