Robin Finn is an author, essayist, and advocate for children with ADHD/2e. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Disney’s Babble.com, ADDitude Magazine, and elsewhere. She has master’s degrees in public health from Columbia University and in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Robin lives in Los Angeles with her husband and family.

For twenty-five years, the International Printing Museum in Carson, California, has been devoted to bringing the history of books, printing and the book arts to life for diverse audiences. The staff and volunteers make it their mission to take one of the world’s most significant collections of antique printing machinery and interpret it for today’s audiences through working demonstrations and theater presentations.

This popular New York event is now in LA. Mario Batali called it “the single greatest thing I’ve ever seen gastronomically in New York City.” Smorgasburg is now open every Sunday, 10am-5pm, on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles. DESCANSO GARDENS’ CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL
Descanso Gardens’ most popular festival returns this spring for two full weekends. The renowned Cherry Blossom Festival highlights the changing of seasons and features the beautiful colors of blossoming flowers.
Weekends from March 4 through 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. , members and non-members alike can stop by Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge for guided walking tours, origami stations, tea tastings, Japanese-inspired food lounges and much more. You can even buy a cherry tree! But be aware that these sell out quickly.
A full schedule of events is currently available online. Tickets go on sale to the public starting February 17 (members gain early access on February 1). Descanso Gardens’ general admission is $9 and includes access to the festival.
