DJ Dave Paul began his music career in 1984, starting as a mobile dj and evolving into a prominent college radio dj, club dj, and remixer in San Francisco. In 1991 he launched the now legendary publication The Bomb Hip-Hop Magazine and in 1995 Paul transformed the magazine into a record label. The company was named “one of the fifteen independent labels that matter” according to Rolling Stone and the labels Return of the DJ series was ranked by Spin Magazine as #25 in their “The 90 Greatest Albums of the 90’s” (Sept. 1999 issue), receiving a higher rating than Gold & Platinum albums by Lauryn Hill, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Green Day and Fatboy Slim. Dave Paul has appeared on the front cover of Billboard magazine and is featured in the motion picture Scratch. Mr. Paul has dj’ed throughout the US, toured Europe, released over 100 projects on his record label and currently produces theme parties including That BIG 80s Party.

INTERNATIONAL PRINTING MUSEUM
For twenty-five years, the International Printing Museum in Carson, California, has been devoted to bringing the history of books, printing and the book arts to life for diverse audiences. The staff and volunteers make it their mission to take one of the world’s most significant collections of antique printing machinery and interpret it for today’s audiences through working demonstrations and theater presentations.
Over 400,000 people have experienced the International Printing Museum while learning about the history of books and printing, great inventions and inventors that helped make our world. The Museum has been recognized worldwide for the size, variety and importance of its collection and for the successful and creative approach to interpreting the collection for the community at large.

ADOBE MUSEUM OPEN HOUSE
Welcome spring at the Adobe Museum! Join for Open House on Sunday from 1-4 pm with the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants and join in on a vintage toast/coffee demonstration. Free tours of the 1834 era adobe are available. Plus, on Monday Sew Cranky returns! Come and try your hand at sewing on an antique machine. Fun crafts for children of all ages! This popular New York event is now in LA. Mario Batali called it “the single greatest thing I’ve ever seen gastronomically in New York City.” Smorgasburg is now open every Sunday, 10am-5pm, on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles. Find dozens of exciting food vendors each Sunday at Smorgasburg, plus sophisticated shopping from the realms of design, craft, style, vintage, wellness, and more. Cultural events, pop-ups, and other surprise experiences will also be part of the market mix, transforming the vast site into a new node in Downtown LA’s burgeoning scene, and a unique destination for the region.
