FREE SCREENING: REEL INJUN
This is another American Indian Heritage Month event. Catch the world premieres of the short video “American Indian Actors” and the award-winning feature documentary “Reel Injun” (director’s cut) at the this great venue. Hosted by Screen Actors Guild President’s National Task Force for American Indians & NBC Universal at LA Skins Fest (a Native American film festival). SAG President’s National Task Force for American Indians & NBC Universal will present an evening of red carpet premieres at LA Skins Fest: the world premiere of the short video, American Indian Actors, a look at contemporary American Indian actors in the entertainment industry, and the Los Angeles premiere of the feature documentary director’s cut of Reel Injun an entertaining and insightful look at the portrayals of North American Natives through a century of cinema and how the myth of “the Injun” has influenced the world’s understanding-and misunderstanding-of Natives. The film includes interviews with Clint Eastwood, Graham Greene, Jim Jarmusch, John Trudell, Chris Eyre, Sacheen Littlefeather and more.

EYES ON THE MIDDLE EAST: ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN FILM WEEKEND
For two-days, Israeli and Palestinian filmmakers expose both sides of the conflict in the Middle East and the quest for peace.
